CHENG YU
A Taiwanese artist whose practice investigates the intersection of politics and image interfaces, addressing contemporary Taiwanese social issues with wit and satirical humor. Characterized by performative interventions in public spaces, the work frequently integrates video, internet memes, and social media mechanisms. The signature piece, Chiang Kai-shek Bronze Statue, examines power structures, political memory, and the digital translation of historical symbols, catalyzing multi-layered dialogues between the internet and physical reality.
The artist was awarded the First Prize in the Video and New Media category at the 2024 Nanying Award, was selected for the 2025 Kaohsiung Award, and received an Honorable Mention at the Tainan Art Exhibition. In 2026, the artist was invited to participate in group exhibitions at the National Human Rights Museum and the Juming Museum. Notably, on October 13, 2026, the artist's post on Threads was reposted by former President Tsai Ing-wen.

台灣藝術家，創作關注在政治與影像介面,作品以詼諧的方式呈現當代臺灣社會議題。作品以行為介入公共場域
為特色,經常結合影像、迷因與社群媒體。代表作《蔣公銅像》分別探討權力、政治記憶、網路與歷
史符號的轉譯,並引發網路與現實間的多重對話。曾獲 2024 年南瀛獎「影像與新媒體類」類別首獎、2025 年高雄獎入選及臺南美展佳作；2026 年受邀參與國家人權博物館與朱銘美術館之聯展。
